What Samir KC has projected

Every projection, on one map — from a reconstruction of the world's education in 1970 to a hundred-metre grid of Nepal. The colour is not whether a country has been projected. It is how far down the projection went.

Depth, not presence

The global scenario work covers every country there is, so a map shading the countries worked on would simply be a map of the world. What actually varies is how far the projection was carried: a national total, a province, a district, the smallest civil unit a statistical office publishes, or a raster finer than any of them.

Countries too small to draw at this scale are marked with a dot, not left off.
